Traditional waste management methods fail to handle the increasing load of waste management, and technology can help manage this challenge.
Fremont, CA: As the population grows across the globe, the amount of waste needs to be managed. Traditional waste disposal technologies are woefully inadequate to handle the growing load. Environmental pollution and destruction to marine, animal, and human life results from waste poured into the waters. Many countries will continue to make progress in their efforts to combat some of the world's growing waste issues. This can only be accomplished by using cutting-edge technology and exceptional levels of cooperation and coordination among designers, recyclers, packagers, manufacturers, enterprises, municipalities, and governments, among others.

Computer technology
Computerized technologies assisting in and enforcing the separation of waste from recyclable materials will continue to be developed. This implicates deploying robots to sort out waste at recycling facilities, GPS-enabled compactors, chipped recycle bins that track down which households are recycling when the hauler tipped the bins.
Composting initiatives with recycling programs
Discarded food and other forms of biowaste are referred to as green waste. It's a sort of garbage that accounts for billions of tonnes of stuff. Compost infrastructure will expand in many regions by 2022, particularly in areas where food waste recycling laws exist. Collaboration between the private and public sectors will join forces to raise funds needed to build facilities that will divert organic waste from landfills.
Plastic waste turned to high quality resin
This is currently one of the most significant developments in high-end technology in solid waste management. Plastic trash is recycled into a high-quality resin that is both environmentally and economically beneficial. The process produces fewer greenhouse gases than the production of prime resin. Despite being ahead of the game at the moment, the industry will need to continue to keep on top of this.
Governments will emphasize on waste to energy (WTE) solutions.
Governments are pushing for waste-to-energy generation due to the growing garbage challenge. Governments will promote WTE by providing tax breaks and other financial incentives. This will include GHG credits for companies that dispose of garbage using WTE. Due to increased environmental concerns, nonrenewable resources will be exploited in the future.
