Pivot3 has announced the implementation of HCI devices to the purpose-built Pivot3 HCI portfolio for running and using intelligent video analytics.

FREMONT, CA: Pivot3,a provider of hyper converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions for mission-critical video intelligence, has announced the implementation of HCI devices to the purpose-built Pivot3 HCI portfolio for running and using intelligent video analytics on a scale. Pivot3 has also designed a reference architecture for integrating the industry's topmost video content analytics platform, BriefCam, on the Pivot3 infrastructure. The latest Pivot3 technologies and reference architecture are built to ensure that by making it safe, retrievable, and actionable, organizations can derive the full value of insights from their mission-critical video.

Video analytics software and infrastructure represent a significant and rapidly growing market segment. It can be difficult to size, configure, and deploy video analytics on a scale, often leading to under-sizing or over-sizing and not understanding the maximum benefit of the solution and the potential ROI. The technology of analytics is continuously advancing, so companies need scalable infrastructure to remain competitive and accommodate various deployment models.

Pivot3 is the first and only HCI provider in the industry to incorporate and leverage NVIDIA T4 GPUs and the NVIDIA Metropolis video analytics platform. Optimized NVIDIA GPU-dense setups are supported by Pivot3's latest analytics appliances, designed to help lead video analytics features, including line crossing, license plate recognition, object, event filtering, and presence similarity, real-time and smart notifications, multi-camera search, and VIDEO SYNOPSIS abilities.

"Customers are turning to video analytics to help get more out of the massive amount of video they are capturing," said Ben Bolles, Vice President of Product, Pivot3. "Video analytics is crucial to security operations and is incredibly compute-intensive; Pivot3 excels at mission-critical video with the only HCI platform designed for intelligent video applications."

"The growing demand for actionable data in mission-critical environments is a significant driver toward providing customers with a tested, resilient and scalable solution to deploy comprehensive video analytics," said Yogev Wallach, Senior Product Manager, BriefCam. "Pivot3's intelligent HCI platform supports the specific performance parameters and workload requirements of our innovative and extensible video analytics platform. This optimizes the sizing and deployment process for our system integrators and accelerates the time to ROI for our customers."
