As IoT grows, large industries and government organizations take advantage of its benefits. Emergency responders are no exception. IoT plays an important role in increasing the efficiency of emergency response systems throughout the world. This helps save lives and helps make cities safer.
Bosch Group is an advanced global technology and services provider that offers innovative solutions for smart homes, smart towns, connected mobility, and connected industries as a leading IoT company utilizing sensor technology, software, and services expertise. With its own IoT cloud, it offers cross-domain solutions from one source to its customers.
The Consumer Electronics Show 2019 (CES 2019), which is the world’s most influential technology event, took place in Las Vegas on 7 January 2019. At that time, Bosch and Mojio presented an integrated emergency response solution developed jointly with IoT.
“We’re excited to work side-by-side with Bosch to help save lives by creating a safer and smarter global driving community, enabled by IoT,” said Kenny Hawk, Mojio CEO.
Mojio is the preferred cloud platform for deploying secure connected automotive applications and services. Mojio’s platform provides subscribers of major network operators with a smarter, safer, and more convenient driving and vehicle ownership experience.
The new integrated emergency response offering combines Bosch's crash detection algorithm and eCall emergency services with Mojio's cloud platform for telco-grade and white label mobile apps for connected cars. This combination results in improved safety experiences that detect collisions, evaluate the severity of crashes, and trigger an appropriate emergency response.
The advantage of this IoT solution is professional assistance is provided in case of an earlier accident, in which vehicles are directly connected to the cloud. With the integrated crash detection and eCall service, drivers will soon benefit from Bosch’s improved security features.
The solution is initially offered to the global mobile network operator customer portfolio of Mojio, with early deployment in North America and Europe for consumers by mid-2019. The distribution model of Mojio takes advantage of the strength of major telecom brands to provide IoT services that are affordably priced and widely accessible through a variety of sales channels.
