Hexagon PPM recently announced the release of CADWorx® Structure Professional 2019. The company is a leading provider of engineering software for design, ships and offshore facilities, and construction and operation of plants. The CADWorx Structure Professional 2019 allows structural designers to identify new tools to help them with their specified structural workflow. New workflow helps in placing common structural tools and elements to increase accuracy and maintain the projects under schedule and budget. The new suite is discipline-specific offering from Hexagon PPM. The suite helps in organizing the horizontal bracing, spherical tank stairs, end plates, and pile foundations more efficiently by making use of existing workflows and intuitive palettes; this will furthermore eliminate the requirement for additional training.

Clients who possess an extensive library of historical CADWorx Steel models will find that conversional commands are added to the release to help them modernize their legacy structural components into newer CADWorx Structure Professional components. To create consistency between CADWorx Plant, CADWorx application and CADWorx Structure now share BMO creation tools which also includes the ability to have multi-discipline material takeoffs. CADWorx® Structure Professional 2019 also has compatibility with AutoCAD®2019. Aimee Ferguson, Technical Director of Hexagon PPM, stated that it is always essential to have the right tool for the job and the new suite is focused on delivering new structural objects by using existing streamlined methods. To get the most out of a project’s software investment, the new productivity enhancement elements from CADWorx® Structure Professional 2019 should be included.

Relevant information can be shared seamlessly between design and engineering in the Hexagon PPM offerings; this will allow the company to improve consistency in maintaining accuracy and improving efficiency. The offerings include CADWorx Plant design suite; it enables the creation of .dwg-based smart plant design modeling. CAESAR II® is a renowned pipe stress analysis software, for plant deliverables process schematics and automatic production, in vessel and exchanger design and analysis PV Elite® and Visual Vessel Design™, GT STRUDL® is one of the most adaptable, trustable and fully integrated structural analysis solutions globally, and TANK™ is used for design and analysis of oil storage tanks.
